Button raise from Jeff Kimber to 55k. Nik Persaud perhaps is thinking that maybe Jeff's raises aren't so credible when he has position, I say this because Nik re-pops it to 150k from the small blind. Peter passes and it's back around to Jeff, who looks first sceptical, and then at Nik's stack, perhaps contemplating moving in.

Jeff, "You're gonna show me one of these monster re-raising hands?" But Nik is as quiet as the Old Trafford crowd on a good day. (Zing!)

Jeff gives it up, but I'm betting the shorter stacks are delighted to see the two big stacks fight it out.

Next hand Aaron Berry moves all-in from UTG. Jeff Kimber calls, it's passed round to Dharminder Buttar in the big blind who thinks about also moving all-in but then mucks his face up.

Aaron:

Jeff:

Board:

An agonised yell from Dharminder, but Craig Metcalf also moans, "Gah, I had Ace Nine..."

Aaron Berry is OUT in 7th place winning £11,480

Jeff Kimber is a huge chip leader now.

Massive pot now involving chip daddy Kimber and Peter C.  Jeff made it 55k in the cutoff.  Peter reraised to 140k total, to which Jeff insta asked "How many you got total?"  Before Peter could answer him Jeff went all in and Peter called in one of those nana second hands.  On their backs:

Jeff Kimber
Peter C

An Ace on the flop compounded the win for Peter and Jeff is left thinking thank @*@* he had so many chips.  It must put Peter on about 700,000 and Jeff on around 400,000.

Nik Persaud raises in the small blind to 60k. Pete, flush with lots of chips calls from the big.

Two Clubs

Nik fires out 80k. Peter moves all-in and Nik folds quickly, preserving his remaining 400k or so.

Just a couple of minutes left until the hour dinner break.  D Buttar makes a 53,000 raise, Peter just smooth calls.  The flop is

    they both check

then Peter bets 100k.  D passes quick and flips over Queens leaving Peter asking "Why didn't you bet the flop!"  D replies "Why the hell did you call with your Ace rag?"

.................................

Nik P takes the blinds and ante's.

A full chip count will be up here some time during the dinner break.  Please stay put - or at least go away but come back again.
