Dag Martin Mikkelsen is OUT, in that terrible inescapey sort of way.

To his right, my Name Of The Day Wim Emo checks the  flop. He bets 1200, and Mr EMo raises to 2500. He calls.

The turn is the . Again, Mr Emo checks. Now Mikkelsen bets 4500, and Mr Emo instantly raises to 10,000. Mikkelsen moves in for a few k more, and Mr Emo calls.

Mikkelsen -

Emo -

River -  totally inconsequential but it's .

Mikkelsen consoles himself by striking a pose:

Mr Emo doesn't look like I thought he would:

Ok, we're one minute away from the 45-minute dinner break during which we will be getting us some chip counts, so please enjoy in the meantime further EXTRAORDINARY DRESSWATCH:

*******************DINNER BREAK*******************

They're not doing that count-it-all-for-you thing today, so we're going to band together with blogging's elite (OK, just Mike, Change100 and maybe Benjo) and count the full whack during these 45 minutes.  Lucky you.

I leave you with the Painful River of the Day:

Ole Andersen gets his shortish stack in with against two spades Two Diamonds.  Voila the ... ... ... ...            .  And Exit, stage left.

Play not really showing signs of starting yet... a lot of milling around in the lobby/casino/hallway areas.  Spotted Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman in the throng, as well as multiple Scandinavian-award-winning Annette Obrestad.  The full list of Winners:

Best Online Player - Jonas "Nebuchad" Danielsson, Sweden
- award presented by EPT Season 3 Copenhagen winner Magnus Petersson

Have a look at this guys awards speech, pure gold http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDBXbbUd0cw

I had a chat with Jonas earlier, he is a little unhappy at how that came out, he was nervous and trying to answer in english....what he meant was he took the name from the matrix then a journalist randomly told him it was also the name of some fella from way back who had similar views to Hitler.

More interestingly, he has taken on a challenge that he will win $5m in the 5 months til the World Series, and despite the Ladbroke Cruise and this EPT getting in the way (you can't take many days off when you need to win $33k a day!) he is confident of doing it.

An absolute class act this one an a name to watch in the future

I'm afraid it looks like no chip counts for us this dinnertime, as we're not allowed in the room currently. Mr Kremser told Jen we would be allowed, but he's wandered off somewhere. Hopefully we will find him, but until then, feel free to post imaginary chip counts if you so wish...

Hey guys.  Table 26, seat 4, got about 10,100.  Was down to 1200 chips in level 1 after getting my AA cracked but have grinded it back.  Come say hi.

Hello!  I took your photo and put it in Starewatch.  Sorry.  Will say hi when you're not busy grinding it back.

Some approximate chipcounts of people I recognise:

Sidsel Boesen - 20k
Adam Clark - 9k
Trond Eidsvig - 10k
Michael Greco - 2.2k or so; he was trying to move in from the big blind with AQ when I took his count, but it was really obvious he was going to do that and he got a walk instead
Gus Hansen - 20k
Barny Boatman - 16k
Julian Thew - 4.5k, but this represents some excellent grindy recovery, it's way up from the 2.5k or so it looked like he was down to before
Andreas Hoivold - 4.3k
Thierry Van Der Berg - 8k
Jonas Molander - 9.5k

And a few more:

Danny Ryan - 13,900
Daniel Negreanu - 25,000
Bill Chen - 18,500
Alexander Kravchenko - 26,000
Jason Laso - 9,500
Thor Hansen - 10,350
Claus Nielsen - 15,000
Jesper Hougaard - 32,000
Reijo Manninen - 13,850
Camilla Denning - 30,000
Martin Nielsen - 10,350

Um, it looks as though Jaime Ponte met his demise before the dinner break - an empty seat usually spells disaster, but I thought I'd leave it until the players resat to bear the bad news.  I hope that counted as a steak-worthy update, though.

BREAKING NEWS WHICH I KNOW BECAUSE MIKE LACEY TOLD ME:

Julian doubled up with AA v TT - he's back up to 11k or so.

OTHER BREAKING NEWS:

Michael Greco failed to build on his microstack, and is OUT.

Andreas Hoivold's stack enters the danger zone after a bad turn against Jens Hansen.  He check-called on the turn when the board read , with about 4k in the pot already, and then checked the river, too.  1,500 slowly bet and instacalled by Hoivold - who showed which had started off in bad shape, become so good and ended up so bad against Jensen's .
