And we already have an unfortunate early OUTage in the shape of Sorel Mizzi. Aces v Kenneth Lyons' Queens were no good - not sure when the chips went in as I just caught the tail end of it, but there was a raggy flop and turn, and a Queen on the river. Photos to follow as soon as Floppy reminds me of the gallery login details, which my laptop has mysteriously eaten...

And here is the probably right now quite depressed Mr Mizzi:

And also the doing-quite-well-at-hiding-his-double-up-joy Mr Lyons:

Also spotted on my travels through the card room next door, the following:

William Hill's own Julian Thew, surrounded by cameras and journos and the like:

Daniel Negreanu, apparently already feeling the strain. Sadly still photography cannot convey the disturbing bouncy motion he was making as he had his  shoulders pummelled:

Ah.  OK - dino beat me to it.  But we'll go stand at the back of the Press Conference tomorrow, and then we'll be the first to know.

Unless you stand at the front of the press conference, in which case you'll hear 0.05 seconds sooner.

Assuming a conference crowd depth of 17 metres.

If you had a mobile phone right at the front, and you're standing at the back of the hall with another mobile phone, would you hear it first via the sound waves in the hall, or via the speaker of the mobile phone?

Without even really making an effort I can tell you that worst hoodie of the day belongs, as always, to Mr Noah Boeken, as below:

Have to say that our sandwiches were incredibly expensive (90 krone = I think about £9 at the rates we're getting, or £10 if you change money at the casino, and we only got one slice of bread for that) and also took about an hour, one whole painful hour to show up, but I can honestly say it was one of the finest sandwiches I have ever eaten. Photos to follow soon as I cave and buy another one.

That Julian Thew's got very big for his boots since his run of luckboxing - he now not only has a camera crew following him but also pays someone to stand behind him to unfurl notebooks at the drop of a hat to provide a clear, bright background for his profile photos.

Text from Dana saying they're having internet problems at the casino. I'm not totally surprised, the connection in Copenhagen is notoriously temperamental and was pretty bad last year.

Hopefully the situation will be resolved soon...

Hey friends, our connection's back! Here's some stuff I wrote while it was down:

ElkY has doubled up his relative short stack. He moved in apparently for the third hand in a row, this time with pocket Sixes, and was called by Stars qualifier Nikolaj Adamsen with . A probably quite painful for Adamsen two hearts board later, and it was Adamsen who was short.

In fact a couple hands later he open-shoves the flop. Be-dreadlocked Dutchman Marcel Kloof really, really considers it, dwelling up with all the sighing, head-on-table, banging chips around trimmings, but ultimately passes (pocket Kings, I'm told). To Adamsen's horror, Mateyboy calls without a moment's hesitation. Matey holds a set of Eights to Adamsen's set of Sixes, and he's walking off before the three diamonds turn and river confirm it.

Some breaktime chipcounts:

Adam Clark - 9k
Juha Helppi - 9k
Sander Lyloff - 6k
Johnny Lodden - 9.5k
Noah Boeken - 6k
Mads Andersen - 8.8k
Michael Greco - 13k
Mel Judah - 8.5k
