There's a "hack" to get other resolutions too.

Here's a story about the Elonex one that is £99.

Lots of manufacturers seem tor be releasing similar ones in the coming months too, so it's probably worth waiting to see which is the best of the bunch!

If you actually want one I think my mate has some stock and might be able to sort out a decent price - let me know and I ask!

Also, check the following site for pretty much everything you need to know about the EeePC...

The link posted by Bongo is where I found mine, I got it from MicroDirect.  Its the 4G 701 you'll be wanting, not the 2G or 4G Surf.

The latest eee alike:
http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/03/03/fs_launches_1kg_lifebook/

1280x800 display, screen can be turned 180 degrees to make it a tablet and built in 3G connectivity.

Looks pretty sweet - probably be rather pricey though!

I was put off by the EeePC because of only 4gig
Purchased PB Notebook XS for £349 as it has 30gig and runs Windows XP home full, not even opened it up yet though, will play with it on Saturday. But just found this was released 4 weeks ago  http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=162807 for £439 ,80 gig, xp pro and touchscreen too? Anyone got one? Any reviews please?

Also this was announced this week

Quote
Asus didn't say when it will begin offering Eees with XP pre-installed, or how much extra that version of the computer will cost. This week it also took the wraps off the second-generation Eee, a larger model with an 8.9in, 1024 x 600 display, 1-2GB of memory and 8-12GB of solid-state storage.

The belinea is based on a reference chassis from someone (I can't remember who).

I'm more interested with the £100 elonex that has a detachable keyboard.

Storage and power doesn't really interest me too much, but then I might just have too many computers.

Asus have anounced the Eee 900 with more memory and a bigger screen, if it retails at around £300 then I might splash out.

Bigger, heavier, more expensive.

Sorta defeats the purpose imho.
