I just found it funny... Cech hoof's the ball, normally if a ref was going to blow a whistle he does it when its in the air.. But he let's Drogba nod it on so one of Chelsea is through and then blows, as though, he realised he made a mistake and better blow before it goes in!

Not close, Brazil vs Sweden in the 78 world cup (i think might have been 74). Brazil actually had the ball in the net, when the referee chalked it off.

Believe exactly the same thing happend in a wimbledon game a few years back.

Oh and well done Spurs.

Credit to the referee, he made a mistake and sorted it before there was a problem.... and it never went in anyway, he missed.. !!!

Ah yes, Clive 'The Book' Thomas was the ref in that game.

The score is 1-1, and Brazil have a corner. The corner is crossed in, and the ref blows for full time whilst the ball is in the air. Zico heads the ball in the net but it's too late.

congratulations to spurs the best team won.

grants first mistakes as a chelsea manager  sending the team out with no shape. i hope it iisnt the sign of things to come trying to play anelka and drogba together punished the team in other posiitions especially midfield where we were rubbish.

correct to recall lampard and terry who run there nuts off, essien was ok  but mikel and wright phillips what an awful choice!
should of been makele and cole or ballack from the start. the first substitution should have been cole for mikel not kalou for essien.

cech a little at fault for the 2nd goal but a little exposes by the defending and a tad unlucky it ricochet off woodgate.

but over 90 mins spurs were the better side and deserve the cup.

About 6:10 in, you have to sit through a bit of Germans cheating and Scotland failing in the world cup but such is the entertainment of the tournament.

Absolutely delighted for Robbie Keane, he thoroughly deserves a winners medal.

Well done spurs-better team won-chelsea just didn't seem to turn up today- think it was ridiculous that cole didnt feature at all in the 1st 90 minutes! Wright-phillips had an absolute shocker and should have been off far earlier-even at half time!
