Hi - this is a plea to keep the two day event and current structure!

I work long hours and also have to work on Saturdays. I have to travel to get to DTD. An earlier start for me, and those who work in retail, other service industries or who like me are self employed and who are not that local, would mean us not being able to play the £300.

I love the two day deep stack structure, because of the weekday starts for the GUKPT I can't play them, so this is one of my only opportunities to play a good structured comp.

IMHO I can't imagine travelling for a quicker game. I would have thought that the 321 idea is better for those who are travelling, that way if you get knocked out you have another game to play the next day while your mates are still in.

I stayed over, it was cheap because I prebooked, and I didn't have to get involved in a donk fest because of a quicker tourney.

From the people I played with it appeared that a lot more had travelled and were staying overnight to play than last month. There was one guy from the Isle of Man (works for poker stars) who next month is bringing all his mates. It seems that people think it's worth the trip.

I only have 1 day off a week and I chose to spend this at DTD this weekend. It is great to be able to mark one weekend a month off as the DTD poker weekend. Please don't start the Saturday earlier, I would hate to be at home reading the updates.

Thanks.

I cannot see a problem with the way it is now, perfect structure, perfect timings, perfect venue, great work.

Its so hard to please all our friends in poker, we are doing our upmost, I can promise you that. We have chopped and changed a lot during our first few months of opening to try and find solutions for all scenarios and types of players. Its almost impossible to cater for everyone but we are trying to put players first and coping with staffing etc to fit whatever comps we put on.

We have had over 3,500 different poker players through our doors in Dec/Jan and Feb, I never expected that. With the 2/3 major events we have planned this year plus the monthly 3-2-1 and our regular weekly schedule moving to 7 days by May, we are trying to cater for everyone without consideration of costs and complications.

I apologise to any poker player (or group of players) that cant come to dtd for any reason (even Nick Slade lol), we are still learning all of the time and I know that every bit of feedback in taken into consideration.

Cheers Rob

PS. I tried to make a move on Dave "never fold a pair" Smith in a NL cash game tonight and of course he still called me with one pair for £600, on the basis that I am that stupid, it may take quite a few years for dtd to really become the dogs bollox!

you dont need to ask,................ interesting statement, like i said it was not a critiscism, it was a genuine question borne out of frustration .......................you and your teAM HAVE A GREAT CHALLENGE AND YOU are doing really well , dont please take a simple enquiry personally.

Hi Nick

What i meant was last month we had 129 players , if this month we had dropped by 41 to 88 instead of increasing by 41 to 170 we would need to ask the question " do the players prefer a 1 day comp "

Also you agree it would be wrong to compromise the structure .

Day one lasts approx 9 hours , today the final ended at 11.30 a total of 18 hours , therefore it would not be possible to play this comp with this structure in one day starting at 2pm and from the feedback we got this weekend it is possible we will get in excess of 200 next month.

Once we expand to 7 days it is possible we will consider there is room to have another £200 to £300 comp every other Saturday and this could be a one day event with 10,000 chips and a 30 minute clock starting at 3.00pm.

Cheers

Simon

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't change the £300, It was perfect

the only thing i would ask is get your dealers never to deal me Kings when he's dealt the chip leader Ace's !!!

The updaters did a fantastic job, i've updated for other poker forums and it's not an easy exercise, Well done to both of then

Just to add my complete concurrence withl Dingdell and Rookie.

For those of us that work Monday to Friday, a deep stack two day event over Sat/ Sun, once a month, at £300  is a fantastic addition to the poker calender.

i loved the slow structure of the comp infact it went a little too fast for me as i would love to be sat there playing now

i think as Aces pointed out alternate between 1 day and 2 days during the month

1st sat the 3-2-1 2 day event
3rd sat of the month the 3-2-1 endurance event
