Twenty-five years deserves a gold watch minimum Baz, probably a DSC and VC would not be out of place.

Happy anniversary to the both of you, I reckon a nice bottle of let's say 1990 Champagne is called for.

I wouldn't even think of disappearing to play poker

On my Mum and Dad's Silver Anniversary, he decided to go on a fishing holiday with his fishing chums to Ireland.  Mum wasn't too pleased.  He goes every year now and it's always the same week, always on their anniversary!

25 years means it's your silver anniversary. What about a bracelet like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Emerald-and-Diamond-Bracelet-925-Sterling-Silver_W0QQitemZ120222198034QQihZ002QQcategoryZ26279QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

What colour are her eyes? You could get silver a gemstone that matches the colour/ green= emerald, Blue= sapphire, brown = amber or a smoky stone, red and blurry = ruby? lol

You could also get a silver frame and put in a photo of your wedding day?

I wish you happiness for the next 25 yrs Smiley

The silver bracelet with gemstones is a great idea!  Either match her eyes or use her birth stone (if she likes it).  But don't stop there.  As you plan to bail on her for some poker, I'd suggest you add something from this site (or something similar) as well:
