So then Saturday night sees the biggest domestic fight for some considerable time.
How do people see this going?
Betting on Betfair has it:
Haye 1.6 Maccarinelli 2.44 Draw 42
Im no expert though im kind of surprised to see Haye a decent favourite in this as I have been more impressed by Maccarinelli in the fights i have seen

Most 'experts' I've heard seem to think that Haye will be too fast and hit too hard for Maccarinelli.
I too have been more impressed by the Welshman, and am backing him to win. But as it's two big fellas who can both punch, it could come down to a few decent shots. Haye's chin isn't the best, not too sure about Maccarinelli's.
Going to be a corker though. The bookies don't seem to think it's going to be decided on points.

Really is anyones fight. Maccarinelli will become the favourite the longer the fight lasts.

The prices are about right in my book. Haye has more class and has been in with a better standard of opponent, he also hits harder. Macca however is not without a chance, he is a natural cruiserweight whereas Haye has to starve himself to make the weight, which takes its toll. After the Mormeck fight Haye said he would be stepping up to heavy as he could no longer make the weight, I'm guessing ££ made him change his mind. Macca also has a big punch and Haye has been known to leave himself open at times. That said I just think Haye will be too good and win inside 6 rounds.

Both fighters easily make the weight, Haye 2lbs inside and Macca 3lbs inside.

I think with Haye's chin Maccas odds are a little long to be honest.
Tough fight to call but I'm going with Macca.

I'm not sure I agree with the argument that Haye doesn't have a good chin. He was stopped by Thompson early in his career when he punched himself out early. Mormeck put him down with a good punch and he isn't exactly a light puncher. Macca was also put on his back by Bruce Scott and in trouble at times in his first fight against Hobson so I don't buy the argument that Macca has the better chin. I'm actually thinking this could be pretty one sided. Haye has apparently made the weight with ease this time due to changing his diet. If he isn't weight drained then I suspect he will blow Macca away. I also suspect Frank Warren is a little worried and thats the reason he has resorted to mind games by changing the times of the press conference and weigh in. Haye to win and be number one heavyweight in the world within 3 years
