Good luck Chills, I think Tony Phillips will be hard to beat though. (He is the very image of what you call a 'Cheeky Chappie')

Unsurprisingly, the fast paced action has continued from where it left off yesterday, Fran Egan doubling up within the first couple of hands with Pocket Rockets against the K-Q of Dan Samson. Samson loses a third of his stack.

It's like you've been in a Grosvenor press room...uncanny.

Darren Pearce is OUT. He ran A-K into the American of Airlines of Lloyd Rees and failed to improve.

Bedlam here. Another gone in Simon Wickenden. We didn't catch the full pattern of play, but by the end, Simon had T-8 on a T-Q-2-Q-2 board. Unfortunately, Tony Phillips had T-9, and although it may take a double look, that all-important does indeed play to give Tony the pot.

As displayed by the picture of Dana above, it's shocking stuff down here at the Grosvenor Victor, if only because the players are dropping like lemmings on a tightrope. He managed to survive two exits, but shortstacked Davood Mehrmand is now OUT. Pushing with K-8 pre-flop, he was looked up by Marius' A-5. The Td-6d-9c-Tc-9h board was of no use and the bouffant is gone.

Three exits within the first 30 minutes of play. As you can see from the expressions of the rail, this truly is thrilling stuff and I doubt they can hold their excitement for much longer!

And here is Davood Mehrmand before the start of play and, of course, before his untimely departure. Notice a suspicious looking Rob Garfield lurking in the background. If we just wait a few moments I think he might lift up a newspaper with peepholes and start asking if I'm Red Squirrel.

Marius Hogtun makes it 36k from the button. Danny Rudling is on the big blind. There is a long pause. Really long. They're staring at each other, twiddling chips. Eventually someone calls the clock. More staring. 30 seconds left. Pipes up Rudling, "Let this one go, son. You can have my blind next time." Looks of confusion on the faces of Marius and your updaters. "Er, what?" Apparently Rudling had quietly gone all in and Marius (and I) hadn't noticed and were under the impression that the clock had been called on Rudling. "Oh yes, of course," he says, and pushes his chips in. Much merriment.

Marius Hogtun -
David Rudling -

Board - Two Clubs Two Diamonds

A double-up for the twigged-just-in-the-nick-of-time Marius. Just out of interest, say he hadn't twigged and had run out of time, what do you reckon the ruling would have been when they tried to fold his hand?

I didn't have time to post these earlier due to the frantic nature of Level 1, but here are a few more 'at the tables' type pis for you to feast your eyes on.
