It folds around to Colin Kennedy on the small blind, who decides to take his short-stack chances. He moves all in. David Rudling in the big blind gives it a good old dwell, and then calls.

Kennedy -
Rudling -

Board - Two Clubs

Which means that Colin  Kennedy is OUT in 9th place, winning £9,540.

Lloyd Rees is OUT and becomes the 8th place finisher winning £12,720

Well, maybe you're perhaps Lady Luck is shining on Tony Phillips today as he's just followed up his double through by taking out young Lloyd Rees from Bristol.

All-in pre-flop, Lloyd found himself in hot water...

Fran Egan is OUT and becomes the 7th place finisher winning £15,900

Ginger Bulldozer Tony Phillips is unstoppable at the moment, his latest scalp being enigmatic, and perhaps slightly intoxicated Irishman Fran Egan.

With Fran raising it to 70k pre-flop, Tony called a couple of seats down and the two players saw a Flop.

Fran announced all-in, only to be instacalled by Tony.

Fran =

Turn =

River =

As Tony celebrated with his fanbase on the rail, Fran looked as though he wanted to throw up, but resisted the urge to vomit in front of the cameras, instead taking defeat on the chin and shaking the hand of his foe before departing.

Very difficult for our ringside reporter to produce accurate chip counts, so the following is just an approximation:

David Rudling -- 600k
Tony Phillips -- 1,6 million
Steve Jelinek -- 500k
Ketul Nathwani -- 600k
Maria Demetriou -- 400k
Dan Samson -- 400k

Carnage people.

Steve Jelinek reputedly just open shoved his stack into the middle on Ketul's BB.

Ketul INSTA-calls Steve's shove!

Wowzer.

Steve shows and Ketul flips . It's a big race.

BOARD:

Steve loses the race, meaning Ketul is propelled up the leaderbaord and...

Steve Jelinek is OUT, elminated in 6th place, winning £20,140

Good game Steve.

Approximate chip counts as they head four-way-wards:

Tony Phillips - 1.6 million
Ketul Nathwani - 1.6 million
Davi Rudling - 600k
Dan Smanson - 350k

They just came back from a 5-minute break, during which they may or not have discussed a deal - although as Tony Phillips wandered off, I overheard him saying that he didn't think there would be a deal at all...

MORE CARNAGE!

This time there's more controversy.

Ketul makes it 62k and Chili SHOVES for 242k total.

Ketul now announces CALL, but Tony Phillips is still to act and wanted to call also...

...A ruling is made, which is that Tony can still act behind but Ketul is obliged to now call.

Tony reluctantly passes A-K.

Back to the hand and Maria shows , and is delighted to be in good shape versus Ketul's .

The flop has something for both players as it comes Two Diamonds .

Ketul has made a pair but Maria has 2 overs and the nut flush draw. Shocking.

TURN: Ah !

Maria zips ahead on the turn now with top pair to complement her nut flush draw, but it also gives Ketul a flush draw...

RIVER: two hearts !

OMG! Ketul rivers the flush to take down the pot and it's a brave performance from blondite Chili but that painful river card means...

Maria Demetriou is OUT, eliminated in 5th place, winning £26,500

Incidentally Tony Phillips was NOT happy about that hand as had he managed to isolate Chili he would have won the pot, but Ketul being forced to call meant that he felt he should fold AK given the tournament situation...Controversy reigns...

Rudling raises to 85k, and is repopped by Ketul to 220k, Rudling flats.

FLOP:

Check, check.

TURN:

Rudling checks, Ketul bets 100k and Rudling passes pretty swiftly. He's getting a bit short now...

Soon after, Tony Phillips raises to 75k  and Rudling moves ALLIN! He's short but just about ahs enough to make Phillips pass...

"I've made worse calls than this before" says Tony before eventually calls with .

Rudling is pleased to show the dominating .

BOARD:

No surprises and Rudling bounces himself back into contention. Good work David!

There is a board; it is three clubs

Tony Phillips bets a nice non-round 173k, but Dave Rudling makes it a good round All In. Tony laughs and asks whether the Three on the turn helped him. He folds. Rudling shows . Doglet tells me that Mr Rudling is aflame, or burning, or I think he said something like that...

A HUUUUUGE hand

The board is and Rudling checks. Ketul bets 100k, and Rudling calls.

The river is the , and Rudling checks again. Ketul bets a whopping 225k, and Rudling flat-calls. Imagine his disappointment upon seeing Ketul's Pocket Sixes. He mucks, and Ketul sweeps a big chunk of Rudling's stack into his own monstrous uber-stack.

Dan Samson finds himself all-in and in need of some assistance...

Dan =

Dave Rudling =

Board = Two Clubs

Dave takes another hit in what has become a rollercoaster of a final table. The frustration on his face was there for all to see. Meanwhile, Dan is unusually restrained in victory, perhaps all too aware that he just played a get out of jail free card.

Ketul has morphed into an Akira-stylee Gigantic Ultimate Ketul Warrior, rampaging all over his table.

He button-raises, and Tony Phillips calls him.

The flop is and they both check.

Turn - two spades - Tony checks again and Ketul bets 120k; he is called.

River - another Two Diamonds and once more Tony checks. Not messing about, Ketul announces all in. Tony folds.

I AM ULTIMATE KETUL!!!! YOU ARE MY SLAVES!!!!!!

...is something he did not say, but I wish he had. Sigh.

And Dave Rudling has a spot of luck when it folds around to Tony Phillips on the small blind, who promptly puts him in with K-3; Rudling finds A-Q and calls.

Board - Q-8-2-3-Q for a Rudling good double-up.

"Keep the applause to a minimum, everyone" says he, as a single guy claps from the rail.

Dave Rudling is OUT and becomes the 4th place finisher winning £33,920

As Dan and Tony threw in their cards, Dave Rudling raised it up to 80k from the small blind only for the super aggressive Ketul Nathwani to announce all-in. Dave called quicker than Linford Christie with a rocket lodged between his bum cheeks and proudly revealed his A-J, confident that it was in front. And he was right, as Ketul could only produce an inferior Q-2.

However, as we already know, poker can be a cruel game at times, and when you have two live cards, and a big stack in front of you, the board can often fall in your favour. The Kh-4c-2s Flop didn't too anything to dispel that mythical theory, and when the Turn and River came 7 of hearts and 9 of hearts respectively, Rudling was gone.
