Anyone see this tackle from Novo on the hibs player yesterday at Ibrox?

Straight red card fully deserved, but he should also be hit with a much lengthier ban IMO.  Although he never hurt the player the intent was clearly there and he went flying in 2 footed with studs showing, I have tried searching online but cant find anything for it.

Absolutely disgusting!!!

same as with Martin Taylor...its dealt with at the time, case over

also extremly tricky for you to say there was definite intent, pre-meditation

Of course he does play for Rangers, so we'll make allowances for your view!

Did you see the challenge??

The fact that he plays for Rangers makes no difference to me, the tackle was horrendous and had a Celtic player made a similar challenge I would say the same thing.  You say same as Martin Taylor, well what about the young boy who played with Benfica (Binya I think his name is) who put in a horror challenge on Scott Brown against Celtic?  He picked up a further 5 game ban from UEFA or was it 7 I really can't remember!

I think there is a big difference between a late challenge (ie Taylor) and deliberate (Novo, Binya)

Not sure about this Bandit - front of Super Goals in the Sun has a picture of it and there is no way it looks like he is trying to hurt the guy.  Eyes on the ball and looks like he nearly gets it.  Anyone who has seen Novo play knows he is always super keen and this is what has probably led to this.

This was the only image I could find, wreckless challenge that should receive a greater punishment IMO.  To make excuses like he is "keen" or "it was a strikers challenge" As put by Walter Smith just aren't good enough.

I think the BBC commentators who described it as "horrendous" where closer to the mark.

No I seen it on Telly, I heard and read about it last night and today but never seen it till I was watching Scotland Today.  That is the only picture I could find online.

I assume you seen the tackle?

Yes it was a definate red card but I do not think it was a delibarate tackle to injur the player, but I DONT think I'm one to comment as being a rangers fan, nature says that I CANT be objective about it

Then why is it only Novo you are lambasting?? why have you not said anything about the Phil Bardsley tackle on steven pienaar which was by a far worse tackle, (and he only got a yellow?) or why are you not creating this thread week in week out about the dodgy tackles that happen every week
