Standardisation of poker rules
«

Having not played live too much and reading all the different threads regarding announcing raise's, under raises, calling clocks etc etc etc,
what would the main obstacles be in setting out a complete list of rules to which each and every casino should follow.Seeing as the vast expansion of poker over the last few years has really exploded wouldn't it be in everyones interst for a collection of the bigwigs of the poker world to collaborate on a definitive list.
I mean in nearly every other sport there are set rules followed wherever it might be played,???
dunno if someone else has previously posted on this topic probably has if so apologies for wasting space.....

There are already comprehensive rules available. e.g. http://www.pokercoach.us/RobsPkrRules4.htm
The problem is the low standard of cardroom supervisors in the uk, who generally don't understand the reason for various rules and are therefore unable to give a sensible ruling.

we could start by deciding if we should move the big blind or the shortstack, personally i think the shortstack. Any opinions?

I think it would be better to have several other options to maximise the possibilities of confusion.

DTD use the TDA association rules with a few minor tweaks i believe
the TDA are attempting to standardise poker as a game multinationally, please point them out to your local cardroom and see what they think
