has pete been on the televised table at any point?

Nope. He was saying before that he didn't want to be on there because he was certain he was going to make the final, but then changed his mind when he became less certain that he was going to make the final. Anyway, he hasn't, and he will indeed have to make the final six if he's going to get his face on TV this Irish Open...

Action!

First off Pete Linton raises in LP and finds Danilol Paulsen shoving behind him for only a little more.

Pete calls with 9-9, but it is no match for Paulsen who tables the bullets A-A.

comes the flop.

*EIGHT EIGHT EIGHT!" yells Pete.

comes the turn disobediently and finally the river ends any hopes Pete had of outdrawing Danilo. Dan up to 280k. Pete down to 520k.

Danilo celebrates by doing a Michael Jackson zombie style thriller dance...

Then Bad Beat Neil Channing raises it up only to find Phil Starr shoving behind.

"How much is that?" says Channing...and the dealer begins to count.

"Actually don't bother...I CALL!"

Star is allin with , Channing As ...the tension grows...

The flop is....

All over? Not quite!

TURN: !

Ooh, some flush outs, straight split outs and still the 5 there to rescue Phil Star...

RIVER:

No shocks and Channing's 2 pair holds to his delight, shooting star out of the tournament. Sorry!

you have to have a certain degree of risk taking if you have any intention of getting deep in these finals. I just hope the luck keeps running with his mad plays

Surindar Sunar is OUT.

A shortstack push with found Donal Norton pushing behind him with .

A board later and we lose the WPT champion.

Edwin Tournier has doubled up through Tim Blake with vs . Board: . Tim drops about 160k in that hand, but it's not a disaster.

Pete Linton rebuilds his stack a bit re-raising William Martin's early position raise of 58k right up to 120k. Martin folds, Pete shows Queens.

To be brutally honest, Pete has more control than say he probably had a year ago, before dinner he hardly played a hand in 45 minutes after accumulating a big stack, so he doesn't just have one gear anymore.
