Hi Guys,

Played on Thursday night, bubble burst at 11th and currently down to 13, sitting mid stack on the button and get dealt,

Raised pre flop UTG, by someone i play with alot, he was short, had to double up was all in (but 500 with blinds at 1000/2000 and obviously had rags) on the blind next hand so i know he is very loose with this, then the player to my immediate right calls, I re raise to 4,500 and folded round there other caller calls (he is super tight, only seen him play 4 pots, all night and has won at showdown with massive pockets, A's, K's or A.K thats it so im now a bit scared! Play cash with him and is super tight, with play mid to high pockets to see if he hits a set or plays the big ones and hopes for even more improvement! I have been playing very loose all night andf even on button, if stealing and bb re raises, im calling just to show strength and i cant be pushed about, VERY unusual for me!

Flop

(at this point, I put him on Kings or a set of A's or J's nothing more, so put myself behind) dont put him on a straight, cos he is that tight I dont even see him playing K, Q.... He checks, I check

Turn Comes

(im now baffled, to see if he is holding a A and losened up for the bubble, which ive never seen him do and play withi him at least 3 times a week for 2 years)

He checks, Im now lost, dont know where I am so through in 7,500 leaving me 22k behind he then sits, dwindles and smooth calls me!

River

 Two Diamonds

Now that brings the flush draw, he bets out 12,000, I sit, think, look at him, even try and chat to him to get info, but sits back and ignores me totally!

At this point I fold and he shows Pocket 6's (apparently his birthday, 6th of 6th) and favourite hand, now as i see him as granite and dont want to donk of to put me in trouble, am i stupid to fold, putting myself in front, or am i giving someone way to much respect? and now do i fall into a trap and over play heads up against him next time!

Oh and in the end he knocked me out in 4th, when i run, pocket j's into pocket 8's and him sealing my fate with a 8 on the turn! Anyway what do people think of my play!

I'm confused with the start of the post but I am pumping it up more preflop 4500 is not enough of blinds are 1k/2k  your inviting players behind to come in with spanners and hit.

Im confused by the whole post, Bandit.

So we have qq and call 4500 or do we raise pre? It gets cold called by a super tight nit, what about the other guy?

We check the flop and then call a turn bet even though apparantly he can have either drawing dead or to two outs.

We then fold the river and he has 66 because his opponents likes it.

Am I right?

I think we have a read on the opponent

We then bet the turn going against our read

We don't get a read on the river but fold going more with our orginal read, with a straight, flush and overcards out there

then when he turns over 66 we find out our original read was way off all the way along

I think. Its an odd one!
