These newish laws (created since original kitchens were installed, prob about 15 years ago now) can be a pain in the arse. I had my cooker put in (although I measured it!) and the hob fitted ok. Few days later, a gas man came round to service the boiler and I stupidly mentioned that I had a new hob etc as the conversation went that way and all of a sudden the damn interfering bastard was out with the tape measure measuring the gaps everywhere. He wrote out a note that I wasn't to use it and to get it sorted all official like. Clearly I threw it away and told him to gfy behind his back, but it was a pain nevertheless.
My moan, it's bloody snowy outside and I have to go out for dinner round friends. Nice, but I'd rather not venture outside.

On the 'phone to BT for 36 mins trying to pay my bill and make a few very small changes - still on the phone. I don't have my account number, but I am ringing from the phone connected to the account.
They cannot give me my account number due to data protection - even though it's my account. WTF?
My only joy is that 40 mins in now I am on a freephone number to Jakarta or somewhere similar - and hopefully this is costing them something.

£298 gas bill, British gas are fuking thiefs, they try and force you to setup a huge Direct debit payment with them and overpay. They wanted £115 a month for gas alone from me. Go fukyourself, i went on to Quidco and got £80 for swopping to EDF and saving £300 a year.
