It's an old story (or rumour really) which was apparently kept out of one of the Sunday papers about a year (Sunday Mirror I think) ago to stop his career being ruined. The story goes that he went to see the editor personally to stop it going to print.

The NOTW have no such morals.

the story has been around for ages, he was also threatened with terrible consequences if he moved to chelsea by some very serious people.

I doubt it was kept out of the inital paper on a morals basis!

I wouldnt cheat on Steven Gerrard.
