Mickey Wernick, the Shortstack King, is on his way towards his comfort zone. He's down to 12k after mucking to the owner of our Trousers Of The Day who was holding K-Q on a rag-rag-King-King-rag board.

Mr Trousers has a co-ordinating bag:

Mickey Wernick was on around 22k at one point, but lost a lot of chips with a full house, much to his own understandable disgruntlement. Before the Aces hand against, I believe, Spaniard Daniel Mangas, Mickey flopped a full house with Pocket Sevens on a J-J-7 board. Mickey checked, before smooth calling an 800 bet. 2k was then called on the Five Turn, before Mateyboy re-raised Mickey's 4k bet all-in on the King River. Mickey rhetorically asked, "The King helped you then?" before folding, his comments leading to the revealing of a most welcome K-J. Good fold, Mr Worm.

CHIIIIPS Seeing as it's not my turn to take photos (It's one camera between three here, feel like the fates with their one eyeball)

Alexander Kravchenko -- 8,900
Danny Ryan -- 20,000 (Just re-raised Kravchenko off something preflop to add around 800 more)
Ram Vaswani -- 43,500  (Up from the last time I counted him at under 12k)
Michael Keiner -- 19,000
Wooka Kim -- 17,600
Jani Sointula -- 21,450
Anthony Lellouche -- 25,000
Per Ummer -- 10,700
Tim Vance -- 8,400
Jonas Molander -- 23,000
Neil Channing -- 16,975
John Tabatabai -- 9,425
Kevin O'Connell -- OUT
Arnaud Mattern -- 6,300
James Honeybone -- 16,000
Patrick Bueno -- 13,500
Sebastian Ruthenberg -- 5,100

--------

Paul Ephremsen is now OUT. He flopped a set of Jacks, but ran head-first into a set of Kings. Ouch.

thanks snoop

Go guys... GO GO GO GO GO !!!!!!

It doesn't end there ,Mr Pean, it's a Frenchfest over here, the latest Frenchie to get his hands dirty being Ludovic Lacay. I didn't see where the money in, but with one card to come and his opponent all-in, Ludovic Lacay had versus on a Two Clubs board. No club on the River and Mateyboy was sent packing. Victory for France!

Chip counts! I actually had custody of our mechanical eyeball when I went out, but you'll have to wait until I've edited and uploaded them. In the meantime please enjoy:

Dan Didech - 15k
James Honeybonster - 16k
The Lemon Man - 16.2k
Arnaud Mattern - 13k
Ed De Haas - 17.5k
Vicky Coren - 12.3k
Thomas Dunwoodie - 18.3k
Rumit Somaiya - 14k
Boris Becker, whose two bodyguards now do not want the press to count his chips either, but I was rude to them and then counted his chips from across the way; just as well he's more or less down to the felt on just 3.6k as small quantities of chips are so much easier to count from a distance. I wonder if the bodyguards tried to rough up whoever took the rest of his chips. Gah! Rant over. Sorry.
Mickey Wernick - 9k
Richard Ashby - 13.5k
Joris Jaspers - 22.5k
Jonothon Butters - 11.5k
Danny To The D-Ry Ryan - 23k
Vanessa Rousso - 16.5k
Manuel Palanca - 9k and a bit upset - he was muttering some stuff about it being hardly worth the effort, and also some stuff concerning the devilish good luck of the gentleman two seats to his left...
Neil Channing - 16.3k
Tim Vance - 9k
Gus Hansen - 22k
Marc Goodwin - 12.5k
Max Pescatori - 7k
Eric Larcheveque - 13.5k
John Tabatabai - 6.5k
Ram Vaswani - 35k at least
Michael Martin - 35k at least too - I asked him what happened, but all he said was, "I didn't really sleep much." Huh?
Joseph Serock - 14k

Back on Table Britain...

Manuel Palanca -- 9,350
Mats Iremark -- 25,250
Andrew Teng -- 25,850
Paul Bracken -- 13,500

Manuel Palanca was complaining of a poor run of cards. "I've only won three pots," he said. "One was a walk, the other I had 9-2 in the blind and flopped a two, and the other, I can't remember."

Manuel then went on to, perhaps with a touch of understandable envy, highlight Mats Iremark's good fortune. "This guy is unbeatable at the moment. He doubled up within the first level with Aces when someone pushed in with A-K on a King high Flop."

Also finding life tough is Paul Bracken, but he did just pull out a nice bluff on fellow Brit Andrew Teng. With a Flop of 5h-Ac-Jd, Andrew check-called a 1.2k bet before check-folding to a 3k bet on the Tc Turn. Andrew revealed As-Kh, confident that he was behind and perhaps hoping for a free look at Paul's hole cards. Happy to oblige, Paul proudly flipped over 9h-8h.

I found a T6 lady as well, but I win because mine is still playing and just took a pot off her neighbour (also pictured) in a small blind vs. big blind confrontation...

He raised by 600 in the sb, and Mme T6 called.  Flop:  .  He checked, she bet 800; call.
Turn:    Now he checked again, and she threw 2k out... shaking his head, he eventually passed - you can see he is still displaying that unique expression I like to call 'folder's frown.'

Michael Martin and Surinder Sunar just clashed in a moderate manner. There was 2k in the pot by the turn of the board, and Michael bet 1800. After a brief dwell, and possibly some conferring with his furry little friend, Surinder passed. Michael now on 40k, Surinder and his friend now on 15k.

BORISWATCH

Sadly, Boris is out. "You cannot be serious!" I hear you cry, but unfortunately we are. It was a back and forth rally that saw Boris' stack go up and down all day (well, just down actually), but after a series of shots that trickled over the net, Boris finally double faulted when he pushed all-in with Ace high on an 8-8-8-Q board. When Boris made the bet, the umpire stated that his chips were still behind the line. "It was on the line!" he replied with a squeal. Either way, his opponent called with a Pocket Pair, and after the raggy River, Boris was sent back to the changing room.

-----------

Andrew Teng (29,500) has now been plonked down next to Tim Vance (12,725) on Table Channing (16,875). Also present is Jonas Molander with 25,250.

Paul Testud and Mr Mate E. Boy check down a T-J-Q-8-J board all the way to the river, when Paul bets 400 in position. Mr Boy calls, and all present are amused to see Mr Testud turn over for the turned straight. "Do you have a flush?" asks Mr Testud in jest as Mr Boy mucks.

A couple of counts I missed earlier, and Negreanu again because the big crowd around his table makes me feel obliged to get his count every time I walk past:

Sander Lylloff - 23k
Daniel Mangas - 12k
Alex Kravchenko - 11k
Daniel Negreanu - 19k

Today has really been one of those days where in a room full of action-generators I just haven't personally stumbled upon many fascinating hands.  I approach a table just when Joris Jaspers is stacking the result of winning a pot, cards being reshuffled, or when Vicky Coren gets a walk in her big blind (both of these heart-stopping events have occurred) but just now I approached Table Thor Hansen just as Thor was getting his remaining stack in the middle.

He'd moved all in for 5,125 into a pot of around 6k with the board standing .  His opponent took a surprisingly long time to call, seeing as he held three clubs for the second nuts and Thor had .  By no means drawing dead, the board failed to pair and sent the experienced Scandie to the rail.  My first exit experience of Day 1B. And his, too.

Ok, largest main event ever held in Europe.

Evening,

good updates, if you can pick him out. can i have an update on Antoni Romanello pls (brother of roberto, look very similar)

thank you

Roberto was wandering through the cardroom in good spirits today, keeping an eye on his bro.  Apparently a concerted effort from him, Antoni and Mickey Wernick spun up the last-minute buy-in for Romanello #2 yesterday in the SNGs!

*Note* This is in no way meant to encourage the frivolous journeying of young poker players to places where it costs to breathe like Monaco in search of the Great Spin Up...

...But it does work sometimes.  He's currently on 18k
