And here's a picture of the Devlin resurgence in action.  Spot the difference:

Hint - in one photo, he's checked and his opponent has bet around the pot - 14k.  In the other, he's check-raised all in and taken it down.

Actually, I spotted another two differences.  One is Neil Channing, well in contention for Climber of the Day after a bit of a resteal-gone-wrong nearly felted him, and now back over 35k, and the other is that the guy on the right in the foreground is merely disinterested in the top photo, but actively bored (if such a thing is possible) in the second.

Danny Ryan, if he builds a big stack back, will also be in contention, although at the moment he just qualifies for Grinder of the Day.

Bad news: Stevie Devlin is OUT.

Good news: His chips went to a fellow Brit.

"I bad-beated him," confessed Stuart Fox with a rye smile. "A-Q versus A-K, Queen on the River."

Manuel Palanca is still in, but barely with just 15,900.

Meanwhile, we have another Germany v Norway battle between Jan Heitmann and Trond Eidsvig, the former raising 4,500 pre-flop only for Trond to push in for 25,600 more. With Trond's arms spread across the felt and his chest beating fast, Jan took an age to make his decision, seemingly perplexed as to whether or not this was the time to put his tournament life (or thereabouts) on the line. As Trond sat their motionless, a friend ran up from behind for achat, before suddenly realising that this wasn't the best time to pat his pal on the back. A few unsubtle huffs and puffs later from the rest of the table, and Jan did indeed fold.
