Mr Beniamino Sperino is OUT. Not sure how the betting went, but it was all-in pre, him against the unnamed young guy who folded that big hand to Esfandiari a page or two back.

Sperino -
Some Young Guy - [EDIT - other way round, sorry. Hard to see from rail, apologies]

Board - Two Clubs

Hi guys, great updates as usual. I am very jealous of you people being in Monte Carlo even if it is in a darkened room.

Just wondering who you all tip to win it?

I was tipping Trond. Cry

Umm... Michael Martin? Smiley (Trying to get back my former status as TheReader's favourite updater, pathetic I know but it gives me a warm glow inside. No idea why).

No problemo Mr Eldenz. And as a special bonus, here is another picture I got of him, sans shades, only seconds before the other one, which I thought the camera had spitefully deleted but then I found it again.

Is no one going for red wine? I say Pierre looks like the refined type who indulges in a spot of Merlot or Beaujolais of a weekend with his friends down the wine club. Would I be correct in that assumption?

Completely off ! Tongue

Then again, i never saw him TRY wine, at ALL.

That was mostly my job ! hahaha.

Borge Dypvik finishes in 47th place - but the hand which finally busted him - vs. - wasn't the big one, I am sure.  A miss all round and the young Norwegian calmly shook the collective hand of the table and made an exit so unassuming you would hardly believe he'd missed out on €2 mil but taken down €33,700 for his three days' work.

It's preflop re-raisetastic at this late stage of the day, with first of all Joe Hachem getting a nice flop-free pot, then Antonio Esfandiari on the neighbouring table taking it up a notch with a 130k three-bet pre which basically put the full Tournament Life Pressure on Stig Top Rasmussen.  He thought for a very long time, Esfandiari remaining so quiet and still you'd have thought he was hunting something.  But no, he's just playing poker, in a quiet, still way.  Eventually he took that one down, Stig shaking his head in exasperation.

Woody Deck is OUT - and despite being basically a microstack at the end (he was called all in in two spots) he did have the against, er, 6-8 which only flopped a boat.

GG Deckas sounds like you've been taking friend making lessons off fellow T6 ***** Ed de Haas though mate!

Martin Rask (pictured below) has been eliminated in rather ugly circumstances. He was all-in with A-K vs. the A-Q of Frenchman David Miari, who, incidentally, is our mystery player card eating man, but was dealt an unhealthy slice of misfortune when a Queen arrived on the Turn. There was an Ace on the Flop, but I arrived to late to see when the money went in.
