Starting on BBC2 tonight @ 9pm & I can't wait

Review from Radio Times

1/11 - Four Months Later...
"The sun rises on the new dawn . . ." intones (nonsensically, if you think about it) the dull Mohinder at the start of a second series of the hit US import about ordinary people with extraordinary powers. Things get off to a very slow start (though I'm assured by those in the know that they do pick up, eventually), as we rejoin the Heroes after the startling events of the final episode in the last series. Chirpy little cheerleader Claire Bennet has moved with her family to LA, where she's urged by her controlling dad to keep a low profile, while the most engaging hero of all, Hiro, fetches up in feudal Japan where he meets his hero, the warrior Takezo Kensei (who's British). There are a couple of new Heroes, but they aren't, as yet, remotely interesting. It's all a bit of a haul, to be frank, but there are pinpricks of promise, such as who's sending nasty photos to the Heroes' parents? Catch the second episode on BBC3 at 10.30pm.

LOST>>>>>Heroes

I'll quite happily watch Heroes, but was disappointed with how series 1 ended...

Series 2 of Heroes is a bit of a mess - starts slowly, with some appalling 'story going nowhere' rubbish, then the writer's strike hit and they had to accelerate things along and cobble together a cohesive story arc with some sort of ending.

Things to watch out for:

The worst Irish accents in history.

The new heroes they do nothing with.

The old heroes they have no idea what to do with any more.

Deus ex machina 'power neutering' of heroes they made far too powerful at the end of the first series.

The only really good bit of series two is Hiro's storyline. And Claire is still hot.

Nikki anyday...     Claire's gymastically formed, shoulder dependant, midget/bulky/stocky, hobbit like appearence does little for me...

The 2 new heroes in series 2 piss me off something rotten, why are they there???

And i still love it BTW, the ONLY american show i have gotten into over the last year. May give house a chance tho.

Jessica FTW, Claire "bilbo baggins" FTL!

Ive seen this. Its good. Defo worth watching.

Id agree with 2 things on this thread.
Heroes is nowhere near as good as Lost & the Irish accents on this series are the worst ever.

The secon season had the makings of greatness, then the Writers strike hit, its fecked the storyline, it got condensed, the whole thing looked sloppy.

I HOPE they can work some magic in Series 3 to get the Program back on track.
