10 seater, 8 remaining. Blinds 50/100 no running ante.
3 Folds to me in with

, raise to 500 (as 3xraises get called multi-way) , all fold to the SB who calls, BB folds.
Flop:

SB checks, I bet 750, SB calls. (Pot 1850)
Turn:

SB checks again, I'm not putting him on a Q as I reckon he would have re-raised me on the flop (unless he'd hit a set, more than happy to stack to him if he has).
Now worried about the straightening and flushing cards so put him all-in for 2100 (i've got 750 left).
He calls, flips over

and promptly rivers an

.
Now, I know this sounds like a bad-beat story, but I'm happy he called me here with one overcard and a gut-shot. The out-draw is just Poker
My question is, do you think I could have played it better? Did the 5x raise just increase the pot size and make it too attractive for my opponent. Should I just have potted it on the turn to get him to fold. Or should I have just limped and sacrificed a calf to the Poker Gods for my set???
Any advice/insults/cries of DONKEY greatly appreciated!
Cheers
It was only a 50p SnG so really not bothered as I knew my opponents would probably be a bit fishy, just a bit of fun before Friday night beerage!
