The Tropicana Hotel and Casino has filed for bankruptcy. Chapter 11 has been filed. With assets of $2.8b and debts of $3.3b the company has decided to file.
The hotel was planning a mulit billion dollar expension by 2011 no news on whether or not this will go ahead.

It was their policy of not charging for any drinks that did for them, and saying that there would be enough for all, no matter how many guests.
The lack of a beachfront was also a problem.

drinks are free, no sign of any coastal areas but you can suntan imo
I heard it was being closed down when I was out there in Febraury. they knew...

Last Christmas, I gave them my heart. The very next day they told me on the quiet they were closing. This year, to save the staff from tears, I am going to give my affections to a really special venue.
I went there once, was bitten by the bug but was a bit shy. I stayed a long way away but the venue still caught my eye. The card-room maanger didn't recognise me but it was a tough year so it didn't surprise me.
