Can I take 2 mins of your time…
As some of you know, Sgt Frank Williams RM who works with me in the Mov Con setup at
3 Cdo Bde RM, sustained serious leg and back injuries in Afghanistan on
, whilst in his own words ‘trying to save the planet single handedly’, give him his dues though, it did take a volley of 8 x RPG’s to ruin his day, and he has been given the new nickname of ‘47 Minute Frank’…as that’s how long it took him to get zapped on the front line by the bad guys!!!...allegedly he was actually saved by his very large manhood…so he keeps telling everyone!!!...Bootnecks…bless em… J
He is on the road to recovery and doing well, however, it has resulted in Frank getting Medical Discharged in June, before he goes he is embarking on a charity raising effort for the Help For Heroes (H4H) Charity which needs no introduction. With Franks hard work, determination and one off sense of humor, he will be completing a Half Marathon, followed by cycling from Plymouth to London, then meeting up with the ‘The Great British Hero Bike Ride’, which in turn meets with ‘The Big Battlefield Bike Ride’ in Whitehall London on 01 June 08.
I know there are a lot of these requests floating around, but please look at giving generously to this, as ultimately anyone of us in the mob may have to rely on using the facilities that will/are being funded by H4H. Have a look at Franks ‘Just Giving’ homepage…
