I am not jealous, but how does RED-DOG seem to put everything in perspective so quickly and so passionately. Just wanted to applaud the profile, not to embarass him. But Credit where credit is due!! Nice post.

Yep - he just reduced me to tears - really he did. Just suffered my second miscarriage of the year - getting a bit tiresome now - and just when I thought it was Ok to put my head above the parapet he posts a post like that!  Cry

Every thing he wote was so beautiful and I've only met her once but Mrs REDDOG is just like he says. And then he goes and spoils it all by admitting he's from Yorkshire........

Having recently read Mr Red's dad's books, I have just told Mr Red via PM that it is about time we had book number 3.

For those of you that haven't read these books, I urge you to do so, I cried and laughed all the way through them.  Especially at Red's Great Aunt Lina's broken leg fun and games.

Red you are a genius with the written word, I beg of you PLEASE START BOOK NUMBER 3.

dingdell, that's so sad, but I hope Red's proifile helped you to see the way forward is to stay strong.

I am lucky enough to have the 2 books by Red's parents, I highly recommend them.

A lot of people have sent me PM’s in response to my profile. Many of them to share stories of lost loved ones and personal tragedy, that’s a good thing, when the time is right for you, sharing can help a great deal

Unfortunately sooner or later, most of us will have to face up to bereavement, heartbreak, illness or disability.

Henry Longfellow said, “Into each life, some rain must fall” and he was right, it’s the price we pay for living

All you can do is live your life as best you can, get as much from it as you can, and if you can be nice to someone in the process, even if it’s just to offer a kind word or a smile, you will both feel better for it

It’s very good of you to say nice things about my writing.
I’m really quite shy about it, you see I didn’t have any reason to write anything that others would see before I joined blonde, then I was forced to do it just to be able to communicate,

as time went by, I found I was beginning to enjoy it; it’s very therapeutic, at least for me, to put my thoughts onto ‘virtual’ paper

When I was a little boy I used to sit by the campfire after dark and listen to the adults talking, (Children were allowed to do this, as long as they were quiet) they would re hash the events of the day or recount past adventures. Some of them were wonderful storytellers; their soft voices weaving a spell around me, their weather beaten faces flickering like an old movie in the firelight. Sometimes I would forget myself and in an attempt to get closer to the speaker I would move between an adult and the fire (Very bad manners) which usually resulted in me being sent to bed

I think blonde is a kind of substitute campfire for me, I can talk about my day, and sometimes tell a story

I’m still not very confident, I sometimes hesitate for ages before I press the ‘Post’ button The more I look at what I’ve written, the less sense it seems to make. Then I think “Oh what the hell” and press it anyway. So here goes…
