If anyone's driving up the M42 (and passing J10) on Friday, early evening (or afternoon), I could do with a lift.  It'll be worth a beer or two and the pleasure of my company for half and hour.

I did too (he'd agreed to).  Now he has to see a 'girl' in Manchester, and is travelling from there to Nottingham.  So he's let me down.  Hence me needing a lift.

Ermm, I would quote you (but I can't be arsed going to the PM), but you said something along the lines of  "I don't know that part of the world, how far is yours from Manchester, and how far is Manchester from Nottingham?" - now, because I want to be in Nottingham before 3am on Saturday, and because I don't want to make you drive an additional 2-3 hours, I suggested that I'd get someone else to pick me up.
