I have always admired Craig Levein and his comments the day further enhanced his reputation in my eyes, Levein is clearly a passionate guy and he has every right to be angry with the ref after what can only be described as a terrible performance.

From my perspective as a Celtic fan, today could have been a day that could have put us in pole position for the Championship but when you have refs like Mike McCurry intent on giving Rangers everything its very frustrating!!

3 - 1 looks like quite a comprehensive win for the Gers but it wasn't.  They got off to a great start and United giften them an early lead but had the referee not bottled out of the big decisions I am sure it would have been a wholly different game.

I don't dispute we have had some decisions go our way in the past few weeks but over the course of the season we normally receive more bad decisions than favourable ones.  Today though IMO was blatant cheating from Mike the Mason and his Linesman.

Good evening Mr End, I am on my second bottle of wine so strap up for a bumpy ride Smiley

In all seriousness though, I just hope Craig Levein isn't puniched for his after match press conference today, he told it like it was, and doesn't deserve punishment for being honest.

I liked this quote:

Levein confronted referee McCurry in a touchline exchange, and revealed afterwards: 'I said to him that we were as well not turning up. What was the point? We were as well going home.

'Mike could have phoned me this morning and said: `Look, Rangers are going to get the three points today - just tell your lads to stay in the house.'

Another from the Bobby Tait school of refereeing.

Of course he'll be punished, they never miss a chance.

Got to say though, you think the refereeing in the SPL is bad, try dropping down to the lower leagues, some of the decisions are beyond belief and they  get none of the coverage that the SPL refs get.

On a lighter note we survived our playoff against Airdrie and get to stay in the first division  disco

Well done mate I used to have a wee soft spot for Clyde but the last two managers and the signing of Albertz has kinda extinguished that flame!

Make that the last 3 actually I forgot about goldielocks!!

Anyway back to Levein

"Anybody who is of a fair mind who watched that game today would see that we had no chance of winning that game, we had absolutely no chance of winning that game... I don't give a toss what it meant to Scotland's Shame FC, this game meant more to us than any other game this season and the last important game was the cup final and we got cheated in that as well."

Craig Levein, Dundee United Manager.

Well said that man.

Incandescent with rage would be a mild way of describing Levein's temperament at the end of that match. Another SPL manager crying 'foul' this loudly may well have repercussions. In his TV interview Levein called for referees from outside of Scotland to officiate at SPL matches. This is a clear accusation that both the SPL and the SFA's refereeing structure are corrupt, and for once the accusations are not coming from Celtic FC or Celtic supporters.
