Rant time, close by neighbours who i had been told were being evicted about 5 months ago suddenly reappeared last week. Lots of rows fuelled by drink, she loves a fight and has quick fists and who needs clothes when your arguing in the street in the afternoon, quiet village my arse police don't give a flying even when bottles are smashing, apparently anger counselling doesn't work. This takes place at anytime of the day or night was woken this morning at 4Am and had to shut the windows to get the noise level down. Also when you have to shut windows in the afternoon because of the 4 letter outbursts that your primary aged kids really don't need to hear for an hour at a time.

I think its good for the soul to get some quite times, thats why I like walking in the open on a hill. Nothing beats that and if I don't peace it regularly, I feel the need greatly.
I got friends who dont like quite times though, they like being with people and noise all the time which does not do it for me

There was a smelly hippy at woodstock who liked a bit of peace, but without the quiet.

There are two brothers in the back seat of car trying to silenty inflict pain as much pain on each other as possible while avoiding being chastised from the front seat; "Oi, you two, pack it in". They are living the dream that is quiet without peace.

The OP wants both peace and quiet together. I know nothing of this, but should his need ever extend to peace, quiet and posting utter bollox, I can help out in any way I can.
