Now that the small matter of the Blonde Bash is out the way on to the main event of the summer: The Blonde WSOP 2008 Fantasy Poker game...

Who fancies doing a WSOP 2008 fantasy team thing like we did last year: ( full thread here: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=24071.0)

I see little reason to change the format from last year as points wise it worked well with it being quite a close run race IIRC with Kinboshi, winning. I think that perhaps we could tweak the categories slighty to keep it fresh and also because the poker map is constantly changing. I was thinking something like: The Big Game (Ivey, Doyle etc), Tournament Legends (Cunnigham, Hellmuth, Seidel and so on), Best of British (Ram, Roland, Devilfish), Random Scandies, Ladies, 21st century Main event champs and Online Poker>>>Live Poker, with the usual two free picks thrown in also. If anyone thinks up other catorgories then post them here but i think 6-8 catogories is more than enough as some poor bugger, maybe me although I fail at excel, will have to update the scores.

Last year the catogories were:

Worlds finest : Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Ted Forrest, Johnny Chan, John Juanda, Allen Cunningham, Barry Greenstein, JC Tran

Europes Elite: Ram Vaswani, David Benyamine, Devilfish, Ben Roberts, Praz Bansi, Pacal Perrault, Roland De Wolfe, Andy Black

Best of Blonde: El Blondie, John Shipley, Brian Wilson, Stuart Fox, JP Kelly, Tikay, Marc Goodwin, Harry Demetriou

Womens Winners: Cyndi Violette, Jen Harman, Vicky Coren, Lucy Rokach, Liz Lieu, Kristy Gazes, Isabelle Mercier, Mimi Tran

Annoying Players: Daniel Negreanu, Phil Helmuth, Tony G, Mike Matusow, Antonio Esfandiari, Annie Duke, Humberto Brenes, Dutch Boyd

Internet Whizzkids: Cliff Josephy, Shaniac, Darrell Dicken, Justin Bonomo, Carl Olsen, Brandon Shaeffer, Cory Carroll, Jon Little

The Camel sorted the money last year via PokerStars, and AndrewT created and maintained a spreadsheet online.

Suggestions for who should go into, and out of the categories required I would think

then dino1980 takes the feedback, posts the new teams, takes the entries to a deadline, and theStars transfers and holds it

Hopefully someone does a nice results spreadsheet linked to google and bob's your aunty.

That's fine with me, as long as everyone is happy with me holidng, if not then no worries.

My ideas for categories (admittedly off the top of my head are):

The Big game: Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Eli Elezra, David Benyamine, Jennifer Harman and Patrik Antonius

Tournament Legends: Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel, Allen Cunnigham, Scotty Nguyen, TJ Cloutier, Johnny Chan, Men the Master and Chris Ferguson

Random Scandies: Gus Hansen, Thomas Wahlroos, Thor Hansen, Juha Helppi, William Thorson, Martin De Knjiff, Jan Sjavik and Bo Sehlsstedt

21st Century Main Event Champs: Chris Ferguson, Carlos Mortensen, Robert Varkyoni, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, Jamie Gold and Jerry Yang

Ladies: Annie Duke, Kathy Leibert, J.J Liu, Cyndy Violette, Katja Thater, Liz Lieu, Mimi Tran and Vanessa Rousso

Best of British: Devilfish, Ram Vaswani, Roland De Wolfe, Stuart Fox, Neil Channing, Joe Beevers, Julian Thew and Praz Bansi

Online Poker>>>Live Poker:  Moorman, Durrr, Gobboboy, Imperiumi, PearlJammer, FieryJustice, ZeeJustin and Dario Mineri

+ two random picks e.g El Blondie, Gale, Juanda, Lindgren etc

Am happy for additional categories/dropping and chopping players out of catogories, but i think eight picks max incl random/free picks.

What about a field for players alleged to have cheated - Mizzi, JJprodigy, Bonomo, Teltcher etc

Count me in either way
