Dara O'Kearny is having a love-hate relationship with Queens.

First he knocks out J McBride with them against Jacks. Hurrah for Queens!

Soon after he has the 'even more posher sounding than me' Peter Thursby Smithson all-in with against

. Now boo hiss to Queens!

Rob Sherwood and Tony Bedford have just got it all-in in a Aces vs Kings coup. No help for either, but I think the pictures tell you who won...

Former Chip Monster Mick McCloskey seems to have taken a very large hit, reducing him to 80k or so - by the looks of it, Andrew Jackson was the lucky recipient of most of those, although we're a bit lacking in details.

Mickey Wernick is OUT. Ace King was no good against David Allan's Ace Ten.

Allan has now just won a monster pot against Sam Trickett.

The board was reading , Allan bet 15k, Sam made it 30k and Allan moved in for about 42k more.

"6,000 preflop..." said Sam, replaying the history in his head, "You made it 6,000 preflop." (blinds were still 600/1200 at this point). "Do you do that with Kings or Aces? You might have Jacks, you know what I have."

Finally he called. David Allan showed , Sam had . No help on the board. And Allan is now on around 150k.

This smiling man is David Knight, smiling because he just raised preflop with in early position and was set in by Pryan De Mel's from the big blind..

A board devoid of Queens and Tens put Knight up to about 60k and Priyan down to roughly 25k.

Pete Linton checks, Andrew Jackson bets 14k, Pete immediately makes it 40k. Jackson dwells, folds.

Mr Joey Lovelady, 59k.

Other Counts (so easy to accidentally misspell that word) Of Note:

Pete Linton - 85k
James Akenhead - 150k
Andrew Jackson - 110k

They are worth noting because they are all currently sharing a table, along with rather sad-looking former Chip Monster Mick McCloskey, now on around 75k.

A double-up for a slightly sheepish Hamid Rowshanaei, getting it in with against Michael Hill's and then hitting the living crap out of the Two Clubs board. He was sort of shaking his head as he raked in the chips. Michael Hill down to just 21k.

Wristwatch Of The Day

This yellow plasticky new-fangled digital number that wouldn't look out of place on the wrist of George Jetson himself:

It is the proud property of Mr Ganesh Rao, who has taken a rather large hit courtesy of the unusual raising-calling-hitting-on-the-river combos of Mr Fraser Macintyre.

Fraser raises utg, and BB Ganesh calls.

They both check the flop, and Fraser calls Ganesh's bet on the turn.

River - - and Ganesh bets a whopping 12.6k. Fraser raises him another, whopping-er 22.5k, leaving himself just 8k behind. After some dwelling, Ganesh calls, and looks like his heart might actually have broken when Fraser turns over two hearts for the backdoor flush. He mucks.

Fraser: "I don't have it, really!"

"Oh, actually, yeah, I do."

Supermonsterhugepot news.

James Akenhead raises preflop from early position and Andrew Jackson calls from the button.

three diamonds three clubs

There's a flurry of activity and all the chips go in, in what is around a 200k pot.

James:

Andrew:

An extra two outs...

Three pair for Jackson, but a house for Akenhead putting him over the 220k mark and knocking his opponent out, James has around average stack for the final now.

When queried why Jackson didn't re-raise preflop, Pete Linton piped up: "Because he's shit."

DISASTER
as reported to me by Fran.

Former Chip Monster Mick McCloskey is OUT, aggressively Lintoned and sent to the rail.

Pete raised it up with 5-3, as Pete is wont to do, and Mick called from the big blind.

Flop - Two Diamonds three diamonds - Pete bet out, Mick called.

Turn - and Pete bet 25k. Mick then shoved for another 30k or so, and Pete called.

Mick -

An unhelpful on the river, and he'd McClosked it up. Pete won a 40k pot off of someone else next hand, and is now on 200k or thereabouts.

Double-up for Adam Clark, courtesy of Rob Sherwood raising it up with K-Q and then calling Adam's push - Adam had A-K and a Queenless flop later, he is a happy, blurry lad indeed.

Dewi is down to just 20k or so. "I'm going to double up any second. I'm going to win this." Next hand he gets a walk. "That's the start of my comeback," he says cheerfully.

Sam Trickett is OUT, having just moved tables, he pushed UTG with Fours, despite his chips still being in the rack. Michael Ellis moved in behind him with Nines and everyone else folded. A nine came out on the flop and the GUKPT Grand Final winner of last year housed up by the river. Not sure if got to keep the racks as well as the chips though.

Ganesh Rao has knocked out Jon Kalmar in a blind on blind battle. The chips going in on a T-6-4 flop, with Jon holding Q-T but running into Ganesh's flopped T-6 two pair.

Joey Lovelady has knocked out short stack David Knight with against .
