Has anyone any idea why my camera has all of a sudden lost it's focus. All the colours seem like vertical lines. Is it worth repairing or is it totaly .....broke.

Does it look out of focus when you print your pics or display them on your PC or is it just the screen on your camera that looks funny?

Try transferring one to your pc or print one off, it maybe that it's just your screen that's faulty and it won't affect what your camera actually "sees", just what you see on the screen.
If not then it sounds like it could be a sensor problem or the lens has been knocked.

Repairs can cost £50 upwards depending on model and what spares are needed, what make/model is it? if it costs less than £150 your probably better off getting a new one.
