Its a gr8 mag, some superb articles and i enjoy reading it. Its just full of errors. Not being horrible, just being honest. I think it adds character to the mag anyway, and gl Mel with finding the right ppl.

but to be fair there has been various "adverts" like this and every one has had the exact same replies so she can't be surprised.
However I don't really know why they feel the need to slag it off other than the usual i wouldn't get out of bed for that bs. if someone feels like they can make a few quid then why not! Don't think i seen anywhere promises of great career prospects etc it was a job selling advertising space. Anyone on here that may have thought i could make some extra cash at that will now think im just going to get the piss taken out of me by people fortunate enough to be in a "good job"

Anyone can take any job they want Eck and I'll never slag them off for it. People should do what they have to do to pay the bills and that deserves nothing but respect IMO...Noone has said "anyone taking this job is an idiot", I also don't think anyone has slagged off the magazine.

Companies that offer commission only sales opportunities have 0% confidence in their product imo.
agreed.
Or 0% confidence in their sales staff?
they just can't be bothered going through a decent recruitment process..why would they care if they hire crap people, not like they have to pay you.

Its a gr8 mag, some superb articles and i enjoy reading it. Its just full of errors. Not being horrible, just being honest. I think it adds character to the mag anyway, and gl Mel with finding the right ppl.
This post pretty much sums it up. I always enjoy reading it.
We're hardly abusing someone for saying the mag has some grammatical errors.

Don't know about the other posts but i wasn't referring to the comments of errors which i thought was fairly clear from my previous post.

I've not even read your posts Eck! Probably more of a response to the comment from Silo, if anyone.

ppl can do what they like. I'm entitled to my opinion about commission only sales and my opinion is that a company that offers such a position is not confident that the person they select will be sucessful (ie profitable for them) if they offer a basic + bonus. The only reason for this could be that they have no idea what the demand is for their product and are not willing to take a the risk of employing someone on conventional terms.

I have to agree with Double up here, In my experience commission only jobs rarely value the sales people & the sale is usually a ball buster of a product and the position has a history of failure.

the mags have affiliate codes in their ads right? I read somewhere that Cardplayer is a huge affiliate for Party etc. Does our salesperson get 15% of any affiliate revenue that comes in from ads he sold?
