Maybe not likable to you personally, but, speaking also from what I've seen at live events, in general he appears to be pretty popular.
i think negreanu loves the limelight and knows he is popular, he does get bored playing in the low payout comps. if you watch him playing live in pokerstars online comps,he will chat away to the railers running a quiz about himself , ,some of the answers given by the railers are hilarious and he takes it as a bit of fun, he has made some of the best folds i have seen in big tournaments.
