I seem to remember Roman Abramovich pruchasing or buying a controling share in a company in Scotland in the last few years, does anyone remember the name of said company? or does anyone have access to companies house records that can list the name?

Very true, but I now have a bee in my bonnet about it.

It was not a controlling share in a Company in Scotland. It was Scotland. He paid £700,000 for 60% I believe. He's suing, claiming he overpaid.

Now now grandpa, no need for the Scottish abuse, some of us actually think you are a nice fella.

As for overpayment I highly doubt it.

On a serious note I was reading a few NOMIS reports recently & i was shocked at just how much money & wealth we have north of Hardrians wall. What did concern me was that Glasgow ( the largest of the Scottish cities ) has a massive jobs surplus & almost half of the working age population claim benefits!!

I have to admit it was very eye opening to look at the compiled figures.

The only company that seems likely is Sibir Energy - but that wasn't buying shares it was a partnership of sorts (didn't end well)
