Hello all
I have safely returned to sunny Colchester after getting stuck in the same traffic jam as "alrightjack", and decided to air a few thoughts and observations on here.......

Blackpool casino must be the best in the country, absolutely fantastic !!!! the cardroom is run with an air of "approachable authority" (is that a phrase ?? ). What I mean is that Yogi and blue-wolf maintain the neccessary "company officialdom" (is that another phrase ??) yet have a great relationship and attitude with the players, and I for one think they deserve every plaudit that is passed their way.

The valets ... bloody fantastic, an absolute credit (im with Tikay with regard to his thoughts on the nutty one, she is an absolute diamond, and terrific fun) .. it is so bloody nice to ask for a cuppa, or a coke and not be made to feel that you have asked them to lick dog crap of the sole of your shoe.

The receptionists... again, lovely lovely people, happy, friendly and welcoming .... so much so that when on saturday night i was looking for somewhere to put the lottery on ( i didnt win) I asked the girls if they could point me in the direction of the nearest lotto shop and asked if they wanted anything, and was asked if i could get them some cough sweets... well they were so nice, i walked down blackpool prom in near hurricane conditions until i found said cough sweets, and i wouldnt do that for many people lol, and one of the girls on reception was particularly gorgeous, but alas she had a fella, some bloke that works in the cardroom..... lucky "*$*&** Smiley (you better look after her blue-wolf, cos she told me she had a thing for fat balding blokes with a wonkey eye Wink)
In fact i racked my brains for ages trying to think of something negative to say about the place , but apart from them showing that bloody awful jacket of Tikays on the telly , i failed.

I would like to suggest that we all either email grosvenor, or perhaps yogi can print all the positive comments out and send them to his bosses, because they need to find out why Blackpool casino can manage something that very very few other places can, and that is a well run, courteous, friendly and downright special place to spend some time.

It was great to meet up with lots of people from the forum and put faces to names so to speak, and I was particularly chuffed to bits to be bought a drink by a scotsman, even if i did have to go to the bar with dirty scottish money myself... Cheers Ironside, you are a top bloke and i enjoyed your company.

Heres to the next one Smiley
CHEERS.

I absolutely agree.  Yogi and Bluewolf were very helpful despite me pestering them every five minutes in email.

I will definitely be back for the next festival (not just one tournament)

As mentioned in the pre festival posts this was my 1st time at big live event.  Was great fun and a real 'learning' experience, really well run and v friendly atmosphere.  Nice to say hello in passing to yo-yo , yogi and tikay.

My tounie game not the best so was there really to play in some of the minor events, the side action and a few beers (well maybe more than a few Grin  )     Could not believe how loose the side action (holdem) was!!!  Really shocked!!  Is it always like that?

Cu at the next one
