Ladbrokes ran a 14 week team-based league competition. The winning team each won a $14,000 WSOP ME package. 256 teams entered.

My team finished 2nd.

The teams who finished 2nd to 36th played a winner-takes-all freeroll last night for one more $14,000 package. 140 runners.

I finished 2nd.

As is traditional, FML.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Ouch.  That'll hurt.

I do like the idea of an encased 50p as a card protector though.

How about getting some made and given to Blonde Bash bubblers, or bad beat of the month ?

Probably saved a few arguments about who was going to go though.

A team based event with a package for 1 player?? Imagine??

Brilliant find.  D-Day 50p card protector FTW!

I think I'm going to order one... Grin

The winning team each won a package - I think they all got one in the team?

Correct. A combined $56,000 for the winning team, effectively a $100 tournament entry for each player in the next 35 teams.
