I've just realised I'm going to a fancy dress party on Friday, obviously I have nothing planned and also no time to sort it.

It also seems the party has an 80s theme, which I have no idea about.

I need some help!

It wouldn't be worried about the ridicule, but getting all the things I need to go as Adam Ant in time would be pretty hard!

You could try the three party excuse.

Tell them you have been invited to three parties in the same night and that you will deffo drop in at some point but you cant be in fancy dress, or if you want to dodge the party completely ring up and say your car has caught fire or your house has been burgled.

I call this the 3rd party fire and theft insurance.

Wear something purple (perhaps Ginger can help), one of those nice frilly necked shirts that everyone has in their wardrobe, dye your hair black (if it's not already)and kneel.  Ta da....  You are the artist formerly known as Prince (although if you are all back in the 80s, I'm sure you could get away with referring to yourself as simply "Prince")
