It could have been a lot quicker... for example as soon as I put the forum into maintenance mode to start the move my net connection died for an hour.

My backup connection was also dead!

You won't fool me. I don't believe you did anything. You just told Tighty et al that you had this huge project to do - then just turned the switch off and on in the middle of the night.
