This is one neglected diary. I will do a quick update of what went off in the 1st week. Not much to be honest which is why I havn't put anything up.

I stayed in the Tropicana. Played a few sessions in the Mirage. A few 1-2 PLO games actually sprang up! Played one session in the MGM, bumped into upthemariners and co.

Virtually every session in week 1 started out with me losing. I would get 2 pull-ups down or more. Then spend 4 hours getting even.

Had a couple of sessions in the Rio playing 2-5 PLO. I pulled up $400 at a time. The 1st $400 got up to around $900 then my top set got outdrawn so onto 2nd $400. This got upto $1000. I limped with AA45 (no suits), got raised, flat called that, got reraised and a couple of callers so that was that, I potted it and got $800 of the $1k in. A couple of short stacks were all in and we had a $1k side pot. The shrapnell went in on the flop, the other big stack had bad kings. Duly the K hit the river . 3rd and 4th $400 I don't remember what happened, don't think it lasted long, probably those stupid aces again. The 5th $400 got up to $3400 after around 18 hours into the session, I'd hit a bit of a run about 5am when the game got short handed with 5 players. We got even shorter to 3 handed and I paid a few hands off (check called the nut flush twice the b*****d) I ended $150 up after around a 20 hour session. (proceeded by 5 hours in the mirage).

I went to sleep and woke up approx 2 days later. Went back to the mirage, played a little, went to california kitchen for a comped pizza. Then ended up at the Rio again for a marathon session. Things when almost exactly the same and I did in 5 $400 buy ins. After another 20ish hour session I had $2850 infront of me, a whopping $450 up - but I'll take it after being 2400 down after 4 hours.

Last thursday I left the Tropicana and moved to an apartment. Scoped out the internet and its cable without a router. So I went to radioshack to buy a power supply for my laptop and a router to share the connection.

Power supply $80  almost more than the laptop.

Router, $50.

Got back, set it all up and there are 3 other unsecure wireless networks. Ah well, got a spare router.

Other things that happened somewhere. Picked up an AT&T sim card. Free calls to other AT&T users, so will make sure I have one of those on every vegas trip in future. Didn't use my phone much in April, but there was £50 extra on my bill.

Went to noodles (Bellagio), been there before, but missed it last trip. The char sui bau are awesome. For main, I had the sweet spicy chicken noodles or something with a similar name, very nice, try it next time you are there!

Had a steak in New york new york. Americans certainly do steak well. It was Wagyu beef or Kobe beef, I'm not sure which way it is, one is the cattle one is the place. Medium rare FTW.

Played a $150 ceasars tourny, got nowhere Played the $150 pokerzone in the mirage got nowhere

Changed money in the Bellagio and in the Mirage, got slightly higher in the Mirage, 1.953 better than you'd get in the UK I'm sure. So if you need to change money, go to the mirage and get a pizza while you are there

Played a soft 1-2 PLO game in the Mirage, got stung for $500, got another comped pizza tho.

One night in the Rio when my PLO game broke I had a go in the 20-40 Mixed game.

Games to chose from are Badugi, omaha hi low, 2-7 triple draw, 7 studd hi/lo, razz, 7 card studd. They call the mixed game B-O-T-E or B-O-T-E-R-S or whatever combination of those they are playing. When I joined the game they were just playing 2-7 and badugi, suited me, they are what I wanted to try out to be honest. There were a few players there who play 2-7 on stars. One was drunk and 'snowing' a lot. Thats the term they use when you stand pat and try and bluff. Sounds like donating to me, especially when he tries it almost every time.

I made about $500. But when the 2-7 tournament started they all went off for that and I went back to a PLO game and gave the profit and more away.

I don't remember the exact bottom line after the 1st 2 weeks but down a few thousand $s on spends and poker.

Been to plenty of fast food joints. Del taco, and sonic burger are the places of choice. Sonic burger is better than maccy Ds plus they have the drive up bay where you have the speaker thingy to order on (Tenacious D style).

Been to IHOP (internation house of pancakes) a couple of times. Food there is awesome, steak sandwich is awesome. Egg, turkey and cheese sourdough toasie is good, and also had a chicken and cheese burger. Not actually had a pancake there tho!

The best burger I've had ($20 burger tho!!) was in the food court in Ceasers. The food court is called cypress street. Not sure what the burger place is called but its a nice thick burger and its pink inside. Usual trimmings, loads of cheese. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm makes me feel like getting another 2moz.

Best meal here so far was in noodles though.

Yeah, was a good burger, but doesn't beat the one in cypress street.

I called in on Earl of sandwich (ph) for a full montagu. Nice for a snack if your not into a giant USA size portion.

DO NOT buy a pizza from the fast food thing outside the brazillia poker room in the Rio, they are $9, tiny and crap. Take the $10 taxi to the mirage and get the best pizza in california kitchen I have had a club, jamaican jerk chicken, bbq chicken, sicilian and tandori chicken and mango. All awesome pizzas. Jamaican jerk chicken is my favourite tho.

This friday I had another monster session in the Rio playing 2-5 PLO. I didn't play anywhere before hand so 30 hours straight in the Rio it was. I got off to a bad start (standard) but ended $450 up, woop. Simon (flatmate) came to pick me up and we went to IHOP for breakfast. He wanted to play the $330 deepstack in Ceasars at noon and it was noon, so no time to take me home even though I was virtually asleep in IHOP already. I got roped into playing it obv. It was full up so were were queuing to be alternates.

I went to sleep in the sportsbook for half an hour or so, then those pesky pussy cat dolls came past clapping, shouting and shaking their asses. No sleep after that.

It took until level 3 for them to get my table started. 100-200 blinds. 12500 starking stack. We had about 2 rounds then it was level 4, 200-400. It was supposed to be a nice deepstack. I love playing the 1st few levels when I'm deep. I was tired and annoyed at being in so late. Well, I got out pretty quick.

Note... this is not how I usually donk out of a tournament, I usaully do it with more style.

Played a pot, don't remember what exactly, took down a couple of thousand with a semi bluff reraise on the turn.

Then next round 1 player limps on my BB (no SB someone out already). I have K7. Flop 5 10 5. He bets, I think I'll play this like I had K5 instead and flat call. Turn 5. Wow I've made quads, I would be slow playing this if I had it. He bets, I flat call. River A. He checks, now I have to bet my quads, 2,700 bet into a 3,500 pot. Thinks for 20s then calls. Nice bet sir, had be worried. Err, well, obviously wasn't that good a bet seing as it didn't work. He had 10 J on the 5 10 5 5 A board.

Falling asleep now, I see 78o, virtually AA to me at this stage. Did you know this is a 2 day event... I have been playing about 25min now. Raise to 1200. BB calls. Flop 5 8 9. bingo bango bongo, I bet 2k. Dwells and calls. Alarm bells should be ringing but I am done in and I have 4k left and the pot is already 6.5k. I muddle it in on the Q turn. Call, trip , oops, no miracle 6. nh, I am getting a $30 taxi back to bed. $370 donked off in quick fashion, I played 30 hours cash to earn that dammit.
