We are playing a home game the now.

situation, I shove from the button heads up and I get a call.  I have A 7 v K 8, first card out is an 8 then the once the turn is down we notice that the 8 is good but there is a 7 on the flop as well but its noticed at the river there are 4 burn cards down!

I give the option to

a) redeal the whole board
b)kepp the 8 and first burn card in play and play from there
c) take the chips back and start from scratch.

Obviously don't want any hassle, whats the best option here?

And what would you do?Huh??

Yes if you arent sure that the board is right - reshuffle the burn cards, board and stub and redeal.

Cheers guys.  I figured out the best option was to redeal, when that was done I won the hand.  And the fella who got gubbed wasn't happy but I gave a few options, it was only a friendly game but he went away in a huff.  We're still playing incidentally.

Not sure what you're on about tbh. S'ppse in your haste to get it written, that can be forgiven.

Discovering, after the entire board had been dealt, that an extra card had been burned somewhere?
In a friendly home game, I'd vote to just let the board stand. Too much scope for angle shooting otherwise.

Hypothetically, you get yer pal to deal the cards in a big all-in coup. He deliberately burns an extra card. When you win, nothing is mentioned; when you lose, hey there's an extra burn card here,  re-deal.
Not suggesting for a moment that this is what happened, but it's why I'd always vote to let the board stand. It's five random cards innit?

I'd get where your coming from Thomas.   There was definintely no malice.  And everyone playing the game was pretty good mates, no angle shooting at all.

The situation as I see it is this, we don't know what that extra burn card was it could have been another 7 or an A giving me trips or a bigger 2 pair.  I offered the above options then the burn card were turned over, and when the fellas who had K 8 saw no 7 or A he wanted the borad to stand.  From my perspective, I f i loose the pot I still have chips and I am in pretty bad shape I am probably looking at a 70/30 chip diff if I loose.

I would also have been happy to take the chips back and replay the whole hand.  it was relatively small stakes, but I don't think their was a solution that would have made both os us happy.

I will find out the correct ruling. 99% sure that it isn't a complete redeal whatever it is.
