Helicopters are excellent, I went on one in Florida and loved it.  They do them over London apparently.  Talking of London, have you been on the London Eye? That's worth doing, both during the day and at night.  Followed by a nice walk along the South Bank - pop in to the Tate Modern, further up, walk across the bridge to St Pauls.

and take in a show......live theatre is so good

Les Miserables FTW!

Go to see Blood Brothers.

yep that's good too, but not as good Wink

If all these fail, try having some quality time together, alone, you know, doing the things that grown ups do. should kill 5 mins.

Off to Ambleside, lakes  in a few weeks, there is a train that goes around Windermere I believe old steam one? not 100% anyone been on it?

Just slotted a day in to visit my friend in loch lomond Smiley

thanks for all the ideas

Just back from week up there and think this is the one you mean....

http://www.lakesiderailway.co.uk/index.php

Didn't go on it myself so don't know what it's like.     Although it's a train obviously I guess.......that probably is steam driven too!

If you want to try something really scary though, why not take a speedboat out on Windermere and let your other half drive it!!!     Took me two days to recover from that particular experience!

Also if you like your music plumpiano in Ambleside is well worth a visit,  great shop, lovely people who deserve to succeed.

Naawww....just proper English.  Following up Billy's "my wife" by talking about "mine"

Plus I'd certainly never wish to make a Rottweiller sound like a Golden Retriever!   ;m3boy;
