I have a month off work. Apart from a trip to Lakes, London and Paris I have roughly 2 weeks free. Our lass is a lazy bint so I have to sort out things to do. Has anyone got idea's for days out? anywhere in country will do. Anyone been on Helicopter tours/balloon rides they can recommend? or perhaps adventure days? Idea's welcome

Nottingham has some nice attractions... For our last holiday Matt and I went to Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest - lots to do there, and only a short drive to DTD

Hot air rides are a nightmare to go on. Once booked they are quite often cancelled at short notice for weather reason.

Helicopters are excellent, I went on one in Florida and loved it. They do them over London apparently. Talking of London, have you been on the London Eye? That's worth doing, both during the day and at night. Followed by a nice walk along the South Bank - pop in to the Tate Modern, further up, walk across the bridge to St Pauls.

Great isn't it? We saw it a couple of years ago now I guess and I was amazed that I loved it, really great show. Really enjoyed Rent too.
