The over hype is because of the media, you can't give him stick for that.
How do you define underachiever? Who sets the standards he is supposedly supposed to hit? True he hasn't done anything remarkable as yet but i still believe he has greatness in him.

Plus the hype hasn't been massive. Very little - I think everyone realises that it's still a few years before Murray can seriously challenge the better players consistently.

Ive been lead to believe by eminent tennis observers that his game is comprable to that of nadal's, look at their comparative success and what nadal had done at 18, murray 21 now and by his own admission is still maturing etc.............seems like his bottle goes to me, too many excuses, he chokes in the big situations for me, and as a personality i find him exasperatingly dull and irritating.

How can you say he's dull? Compared with most of the tennis players you can't say he's dull. Irritating - well that's down to personal opinion but i love the passion he shows when he's playing the game.
At the moment his game isn't comparable to Nadal's but in the future i feel it will be. It's the fault of the media that put all this expectation on him and think he should be winning grand slams already. Nadal was a sensation at 18, most players take a lot longer to achieve what Nadal has. If we had more than one tennis player inside the top 20, even the top 50, there wouldn;t be nearly so much pressure and expectation on him.

Comparisons with Nadal are ridic.
As we speak he has just thrown away the second set against Haas. One set all. 6-4 6-7.

as a person he's dull, his game IMO is still as unrefined as it was 2-3 years ago, raw talent is there but somethings lacking, as for nedal beeing a sensation at 18, seems to be pretty much the age for players to come to maturity at this level now.
