In my heavy metal days, Donnington Monsters of rock festival.
Iron Maiden headlining, Metallica, Poison, Guns N Roses, Megadeth.
Awesome, awesome gig

Also in Sydney I saw Crowded House' farewell concert on the steps of the opera house. It was a free concert and an unbelievable occasion.

I'm split between two:-

Dream Theater - Hammersmith Apollo 2004. Three hour show with no support act.
Testament - JB's Dudley in 2005. Without the great Alex Skolnick but still as good as ever.

Ha I was there Kev, right down the front and Blur got banned for playing too long, support band and were on for over 90 mins...yeah it was another of their great ones. Shame Damon Albarn has turned into Sting!

Stipe had a right pop at the stewards for not spraying the crowd at the front with water, he ended up getting bottle after bottle and spraying the crowd himself ... was a blistering hot day, and the best atmo i have ever experienced at a gig.

I saw The Pogues at Leicester Uni in about 1986,they were magnificent, and i'm sure Shane had a different bottle of spirits for each song!!
Then i saw them a couple of years later and they were disappointing, the booze must have had its effect by then.
