.they are on a par with those tattoos the more common variety of female has on their lower back.
Yes I have a tattoo on my lower back, the design is my own and took me a long time to tweek until I was finally happy to get it done. They're very personal to most people, not everyone goes off and gets a design that they pick out of a book they've been looking at for 5 mins. It's something you are going to have for the rest of your life, I want to make sure I like the thing for several months at the very least before I agree to forever! (much the same way about Kev really...)
Quite frankly (and I know boldie wasn't trying to cause or mean any offence) I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks about it, it's my tat, on me, for me.

Of course to each their own..but this for me is the important part...you have your own design and thought about what you wanted before you got it.
I have a problem with "fashion" tattoos..just off-the-peg non-sense that they get because everybody has one...i really can't stand that.

Tramp stamps?
From that site;
Quote
The says this of women who wear these lumbar tattoos:
“Those chicks with tramp stamps are the kinds of girls you take home to bang. Don’t get into relationships with them because they are often immature gold digging sluts who sleep with everyone. Oh yeah, make sure you use a rubber because you don’t want to end up with chlamydia trachoma (which 1 in 20 women have between the ages of 14-39 according to the center of disease control… probably much higher if they have a tramp stamp considering the scientific coloration [sic] between sluttiness and tramp stamps). Also, if they pop out a baby (which they often do), they may have issues getting epidurals through their tattoos in the lower back.”
genius! and then the writer goes on to show why this statement is inaccurate...some people just don't get the art of Sarcastic exagaration

I have an Ace of Hearts with my name through the midlle on my forearm.
I have had it since I was 14 (33 years) I didn't play Poker till 3 years ago, yet every one assumes that I have it because I play poker.
The truth is that way back then my mate acquired a tattoo gun and had it hooked up to a car battery in his bedroom and he would practise his art on a few mates.
I chose it as it was the only transfer/design that he had that I thought looked any good.
He became one of the best and most popular tatooists in Edinburgh in the 80's.
