Not for me, Simon, but well done on your result.

tut tut. I had Euros to sell as well, but a whole lot less than you. I'll never get rid of them when you offer that rate, ah welll I'll think I'll save them 'til the Aviation Club sees me again.

Hi all
I didn't see the last post before i went to the casino , when i got there i changed £ for Joe and Carlo then met Woody who i don't know and he said i have £5000 to change but it's at the cage , i thought he meant on deposit , so i went with him and on the way he was telling me how he won in Barcelona then got stopped by customs and had €50,000 and £10,000 confiscated and is being told he has to pay a 50% fine to get it back and a lawyer to represent him , at the cage he gave a slip to the cashier and i got the €7300 ready .
When the cashier came back it transpired he had actually changed up the £5000 at a rate of 1.33 ( outside you can get 1.41 ) and he paid 2.75% commission , so in fact to buy his £ back was €6468 , now normally if someone has left money behind they cant afford to get back the normal procedure is someone buys it back and you split the difference , in this case a whopping €832 but by the time i realised what he was actually doing and after hearing his story i let him keep the whole €832 .
I still have several 1000 € , if any blondites are in the same predicament i am willing to buy your £ back and split the difference as is the norm , at least you'll get something for nothing , send me a PM if you want to do this .
