Thanks for all the kind words on what was a very tough competition to get a result.
Once again DTD have done themselves proud in attracting a quality field to play a well structured competition in Nottingham.
Life was made far easier as the highest quality players all suffered very nasty beats at key stages of the final day. I was fortunate enough to have nearly all of my big hands / key hands stand up.
I know that taking the deal was very much the soft option but I was tired as I had got very little sleep the night before.
Just for the record though at no stage did I ask for a deal. When I was offered the option and it was determined that I had a marginal chip lead and would therefore be declared the winner, it made sense.
