Poker fables

They are absolutely genius. Sometimes you need a couple of watches to 'get it' as they are so clever. My current favourites are 'the porcupine and the skunk feat the devilfish' and 'little red rory with rory liffey'.

They're written by Jesse May and Rob Gardner so you know they are gold.

Liebert doesnt come off well in these against Ram - she doesnt look too clever in 'curiosity killed the cat' either.

Just watched some of these poker fables.

The stuff that Padraig is saying must be scripted by someone else because most of the plays in these fables is just shocking. I think fable 7 has someone shoving with QQ on an AJJ94 board or something. The opponent showed no strength in the hand and Padraig says what a great "bluff".

Same goes with the first fable with beaver betting A10 on a KKQxx board. His hand has so much showdown value that a bet is so dumb, but what do I know, beaver has won miwwions Wink

No, these weren't scripted for Padraig - but I think that sometimes the fables are edited in such a way that you may not get the best feel for exactly what happened in the hand itself, and Padraig is commenting onthe hand, not the fable.

Did you like the fables themselves ?

In childhood my favorite fable was the 'ant and the grasshopper'. Its used to to be such an unforgettable experience for me to learn about it. I felt sorry for the poor grasshopper that he must have planned  something for the future...

by the way what are poker fables???
