For info:

G Casino have negotiated a special rate for guests at the Strathmore Menzies hotel in Luton.

Rates are £50 per night for a single room or £55 for a twin/double room, and include breakfast.

The hotel is located in the Arndale Centre, and their telephone number is 01582 734199.

pffffffffffffft...I'm going to have to call them and tell them that that's completely unacceptable and should only be given to those of us that booked well in advance!

Me and the Mrs booked it ages ago, it looks like it's by far the best hotel in the area.

missed this thread- if you book it through laterooms.com you get dinner bed and breakfast for £49.50 a night (and if i am reading it right thats for 2 people- cant be certain though as I have booked it just for myself) if you are staying more than 2 nights.

Not sure Ralph, but I like Days Inn, as it's only 150 yards from the G, you can leave the car at Days all night, & the "walk" between G & Days is safe.

I would not recommend to anyone that they should walk from the G to Strathmore in the early hours. Honest, no kidding.

The Red Lion, bang opposite Days Inn, is well cheap too, B & B in a pub, with a huge English Breakfast, used to be about £20.

Travelodge have now taken over what was the Regent, right by Junction 11, & it's well cheap. but it's a £5 taxi-ride away from G, & away from the Town & shops.
