Question as I'm pretty clueless with regards to staking:

With my bankroll I really should only be playing $50 MTT's tops, so if I was backed via yourself to play $100 game on Stars everynight, and after 10 nights I only made the money twice for the minimum payout, as it was the cast couple I ship you the $500 won under our clawback deal.
However you'd still be $600 down on our venture.
At the same time i'm still playing $10/$20 MTT's and win one for $2k. Would a backer expect to get he's $600 back from this win even though it was nothing to do with the stake?

No the only clawback would be using the stakers money not your own..

As the boys say, no.

Say you won some monster prize on your own and decided you no longer needed/wanted staking then i would expect my horse to either play them selves out of the makeup or just buy it out.

Are you gonna name the horse so that we can cheer him/her on? (and yes, I'm just being nosey)

Well, the title mentions makeup and clawback.  Think that might have been a red-herring.
