This hand has given me a bit of a sleepless night

Need some advice and constructive criticism on a hand for my home game last night.
10 player tourney £15 rebuy and some £400 in the pot.
4 players left - avg chips are 2,300, I have 2,500 and short stack has 1600 so its pretty even between all 4. Blinds are a quite high 150-300 so not many flops seen.
I have a read on all 3 players and know their game well.
I have Q4off in the BB. UTG folds, button folds and sb calls me. I dont feel like pushing as he may just call me, so i check.
Flop comes down a dreaded Q - 8 - 4 all spades. He pushes all in.
I immediately say you have 1 spade and are drawing to the flush, but can i let go here. Even as i call him down after thinking for a while i say look chances are i will get outdrawn here but i cant be folding when i am such a fave even in the bubble. Top 3 get paid.
Of course he had nothing but a flush draw which came on the river.
When i called, I was a 65% (ish) favourite here. Despite the fact that i knew i was probably going to get outdrawn, could i really lay down this type of fave position? Maybe i could, bearing in mind that it was the bubble.
I normally am good at laying down monsters when i think i am beaten but i really thought that i should be pushing and calling in this spot.
Anyway - advice please.....as normally i dont get so wound up, but that game was there for me to win last night and i screwed up

You didn't screw up...your money went in ahead, you had the right read, and more often that not he misses
He's the one who's put all his chips at risk from behind
yada yada yada...in the long run you'll win from these positions etc etc
If you scoop here you dominate the others and likely win the tournament
Get some sleep!!

thanks - wasnt trying to make it sound like a bad beat story....
just saying that it was a really difficult lay-down for me here esp as it was the bubble. Would the best players in the world not have got involved and been able to lay it down or is there no getting away when you have the right read?

Only speaking personally, I'm calling him all day here
If he has the made flush on the flop he's (usually, most players) checking or betting small to make it look weak...he's not pushing All in
